Our hotel bar is themed on Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk. Wainwright was a regular guest at The Old Water View Hotel and we hope he would have appreciated our new facilities!
We offer Tirril beers on draft, Wainwright Ale by the bottle, and a fully stocked bar with over 100 alcohol choices. Our ‘Whisky Bar’ offers over 20 malt whiskies including local brews from Tirril and The Lakes Distillery. We also have a good selection of soft drinks available and a comprehensive Tea list & Coffee. We have a terrace seating area just a few steps from our outside bar, which is a real sun trap. You can sit and relax, soak up the magnificent views, and enjoy your drinks and food.
Our large garden slopes gently down to the banks of Goldrill Beck, which meanders on to Lake Ullswater. The gardens are mainly grass, with mature trees where you can often see our red squirrels scampering around.
