Situated in the delightful village of Patterdale, and surrounded by some of Lakeland’s most magnificent scenery, Snort Hotel has been welcoming visitors for over 100 years.
Accommodation
We have six superb en-suite guest bedrooms available, all with excellent facilities and magnificent views of the surrounding area. Prices quoted are per room, per night and include breakfast. We have free Hi Speed WIFI throughout including in all bedrooms and the garden.
Bars

Location
We are situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park, in Patterdale close to Ullswater and Helvellyn, and within easy reach of Windermere, Ambleside and all the main towns and villages of the Lakes. Ideal for hill walkers, the sailing crowd, or those simply looking to relax and unwind and soak up the views. We are also located on the famous Coast to Coast walking route, and indeed Old Water View was a favourite both with Alfred Wainwright, and with Julia Bradbury, who visited whilst filming her recent Coast 2 Coast series.
Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk is by far the most popular long distance trail in Britain, and one of the world’s great walks.
Old Water View Hotel is an ideal stop off on the route.
